This interview with Jennifer McCune, the Creative nonfiction editor of Arkana is made up of four questions about the essay I wrote about my son, Monk in Manhattan, also published by Arkana. In this interview, I had very strong answers, but in truth, I was doing everything I could to keep my head above water. My son had only been gone just over a year.
